Happy St. Patty's Day!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all my Irish family, brothers, and sisters.

Today I will raise a pint to my older brother who passed less than a year ago. He taught me to be a proud Irishman, and he loved this day more than any other. I'll shed a tear, then I'll drink a beer, and I will forever hold you dear. Everybody sing loud and sing proud. Raise one up for Scottie! Enjoy! Happy St. Patrick's Day.

My effort at being a photographer.

Now we're getting somewhere.

The mock up has begun. I've been waiting on parts, so it's been a bit of a waiting game. Now things will begin to come together, and it will start to look like something. I like where it's going so far, and I can't wait for it to take shape.

Some People's Children

Somebody's kid cost me eight nuts and a whole bunch of time because he or she didn't know how to put an engine back together properly. I tried to double nut them, but the setup kept twisting off, so I resorted to this. All is right in the world now the studs are out, and the engine can be put together properly. I'm sure that person's ears were ringing for a while because off all the cursing I did in his or her name. I guess it the price they pay for the agony they put me through.

Some jobs are better farmed out.

4 hours in, I have only the bottom half done. I still have one more and the heads to do. It's time to send them out. I have no problems with the dirty work, I just don't want the second coming happening first.

The hard to reach places

Why does the gasket always stick around the pins? Seriously, it's a sick joke right?

The Global Community Expands

Its time to say hello again to some more of our friends around the world. Over the last couple months friends in Australia, Germany, and Taiwan have visited us, so to them we say.

'G'day. Sorry Australia the Internet didnt get much more creative than this.

Hallo, Wie geht's? Thats whats up in German.

Li ho. This is all we could find that was consistent for Taiwanese.

Thanks for checking us out.

A spot of Joe anyone?

No bucks! Big Whammies!

Looks like I still have to work since Lady Luck wasn't with me in Vegas.

Juvenile Delinquents New Frame

One of my favorite things occurs when my expectation is far exceeded. I took my frame to Anthony at Chassis Design Company knowing he was going to do an excellent job. I was so excited when I picked up the frame and saw his work was even better than I expected. Chassis Design Company came highly recommend to me and they exceeded all expectations. Check out the dropouts, the battery box, and framework. The work was done to my exact specifications and done in a very timely manner. I would recommend anybody looking for high quality fab, or machining work to take it Chassis Design Company. Tell them Tim from Empire-C- sent you. I want to thank Anthony and his crew for an awesome job.

Before and After

Heres the before and after on the frame.

Big Kel's Speed Shop

I took the engine pieces over to Big Kel's last night to talk about what we were going to do with the engine. When we got all of the boxes inside and he started going through the pieces one would have thought I dropped a five gallon bucket of candy in front of a 10-year old and said, “It’s all yours." That's what makes him so damn good, it’s the excitement he has for engines.

It's awesome to have one of the best engine builders in Southern California as one of your best friends. If you live in SoCal and want the most kick-ass motor a man can build, you need to find him. I can tell you the way, just ask.

Progress is being made. The frame is being welded and the engine is being rebuilt. The engine was taken apart at Empire-C- and now it's at Big Kel's Speed shop so he and I can rebuild it. What a bitch`n' excuse to hang out with a good friend huh?

Juvenile Delinquent Update

It's Miller time.

Juvenile Delinquent Update (Engine Drop)

Yep! I called old Willie G and he said that's the way to do it.

Juvenile Delinquent Update (Engine Drop)

I'm pretty sure this is exactly how the service manual said to drop a Sportster engine.

Prep for surgery

The bikes watch on as I prep the shop for the sporty's engine to be removed.

Bob's old saying will never steer you wrong!

As many who work on motorcycles know tools can be expensive. Especially when concerning specialty tools that you don’t need all the time. I try to make tools from time to time. Sometimes they work and other times they don't. I'm sure no matter what industry you work in you have used the wrong tool for the wrong job at some point. “You see where I'm going here right?”

Anyway, I was pulling the transmission from the 89 sporty and kept bending my awesome custom-made tool. Before the bike or I got hurt I moved on to something else. I called my buddy to borrow the right tool. My 15-minute fiasco with the wrong tool turned into a 30-second miracle with the right tool.

As Bob Vila would say, "Use the right too for the right job."

Don't worry Ma, my sweet mustache kept me safe.

This stache was inspired by the last issue of Dice Magazine.

Phoenix Trip

So the Native New Yorker was the place we went to get wings. They were good. I don't think 400 miles good, but good. I would certainly have them a few times a month if I lived there. I would also tell anybody passing through he or she should stop if they are around the 17 and bell. It was a beautiful ride. The weather was awesome and the ride was even better. I saw my cacti and they lived up to my dreams. It's hard to complain when it's January and it's in the 70's. Peace on the open road. I can't wait for the next trip!

Phoenix Trip And the 405 dash

Ask me about this story and I may tell you face to face. It’s not for the faint of heart. Maybe one-day I'll tell it but this isn't that day. Lets just say it was a race between man and machine. Man won! Between the title, pictures, and this brief quip one might figure out what happened.

LBC Swap Meet this weekend

Check us out this weekend (1-23-2011) at the swap meet. We'll be selling shirts and a bunch of parts. I have a roller I'm selling for a great price as well. If you're in the area swing by and say hi.

Juvenile Delinquent Update

I didn't post any pics this week because the ones I've taken don't look much different from last weeks. The engine is ready to be pulled, but I'm waiting on some help. Sorry for the rather boring update, but that's what it is.

Empire-C- is going Global.

I thought this was cool since this blog is so fresh. We haven't even had the chance to pull all the stickers off of it yet. We've got watchers from around the world now so I wanted to say what's up.
Please forgive me if the interpretations are butchered, but feel free to correct me. Blame Google if they are!

U.S./U.K.
We get a lame what's up. If you're from the U.K., and want to send some cool what's up slangs, do so.

Canada.
You almost got a lame what's up too. However, I can't keep the French-speaking Canadians down so you get a Bon Jour.

Netherlands.
Hoi.

Lithuania.
Kaip sekasi

Russia.
Добрый день Sorry all that was the only cool writing I found.

A big thanks to all who are taking interest in what we're doing here, wherever you're from. If you like what we are doing, the best thing you can do is spread the word.

Thanks All.

So busy AZ dreaming I forgot about a Juvenile Delinquent update.

As due all good projects, I ran into a snag or two that has put me a bit behind schedule. Nothing major, I just had to stand looking at the bike scratching my head a little longer than I wanted to.
